Mary Ruggieri, DPT

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

It's nice to meet you!

Originally from Northeast Ohio, my journey into healthcare began in Columbus, Ohio, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Ohio State University. Driven by a passion for helping others, I continued my education in Miami, Florida, completing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at University of Miami, where I graduated with honors.

Following my studies, I was drawn to Naples, Florida and the Southwest Florida community, an area I had long appreciated through family visits and am now proud to serve.

Throughout my professional development as a physical therapist, I developed a strong interest in the transformative impact of pelvic floor physical therapy. Beyond my doctoral training, I pursued advanced continuing education and hands-on clinical experience in Nevada, expanding my expertise in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

While I specialize in pelvic health, my clinical practice also includes treating a wide range of conditions such as orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and neurological disorders. I recognize the important connection between these systems and the pelvic floor, allowing me to take a holistic, individualized approach to care that addresses the root cause of each patient’s symptoms.

My mission is to empower individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of gender, race, or age, to thrive in their daily lives, homes, and communities. I believe in a collaborative, patient-centered approach, working closely with each individual to promote active participation and confidence throughout their healing journey.

Beyond symptom relief, I focus on long-term success, helping patients build the knowledge and skills needed to maintain progress and independently apply what they’ve learned in physical therapy well beyond their time in the clinic.
